The verdict is in and the man accused of killing Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew has been convicted.

31-year-old William Balfour was found guilty on three counts of first degree murder. They deliberated for three days and will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Hudson was in court every day. She was the first witness to take the stand.

Balfour was married to Hudson's sister Julia. Prosecutors said he killed the family because he was jealous Julia was dating another man.
