There's some fighting words being spoken at The Voice these days. And they seem to be stemming from the feud between Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine.
The tension has been building all season, but came to a head on Monday. Levine's contestant Tony Lucca performed a cover of Jay-Z's "99 Problems" and tried to avoid saying the word bitch. During rehearsal, Aguilera was reportedly so offended she called out Levine and the two got into a shouting match. After the performance, Aguilera pointed out Lucca's wife and daughter in the audience saying "the lyrical connotation was a little derogatory towards women, but all in all I thought it was fun."
Lucca shot back, saying: "We're not referring to women, we're referring to everything...it's called a metaphor."
And after the show, Lucca took a shot at Aguilera while talking to UsWeekly: "How convenient that she waits the whole season to talk about all things classy," Lucca sniped of Aguilera. "It's just so transparent at this point and pathetic."
The show's season finale is tonight.
