Happy Hump Day (and Lucky Penny Day :)!
It's also Listener AbFab Pick Day. Here's 4 amazing picks from you!
1. We got a note from Nick and Elizabeth, organizers of WineFest No. 17. They raised $725,000 this year for the University of Minnesota's Amplatz Children's Hospital.
This is an amazing event! If you like wine (or want to try a lot of different wines/learn more), please join us next year!
2. We got a package from Jenny; she handwrote this:
"Enclosed is a bottle of very good BBQ sauce and salad dressing for you to try. They are from Brine's Market in Stillwater (1700 Washington Ave). I am not associated with Brine's in any way, just a satisfied customer. I know you appreciate a good, local "find." I think they are AbFab and both family favorites at my house."
A big thank you to Jenny! We agree! The Vidalia Onion Barbecue Sauce and Vidalia Onion Summer Tomato Salad Dressing are delicious.
3. Jodi emailed us a couple AbFabs, she recommends a book first:
"The book Heaven is Here. She was on the Today Show. I bought the book and started reading it; it is good. It is by Stephanie Nielson. The husband and wife were in a plane accident and she was burned on 80% of her body, he was burned on 30% of his body. It is a memoir.
"P.S. One more AbFab the restaurant The Roasted Pear in Burnsville."
4. Today we met Jenn and Mary who won a sit-in on the Ian and Margery Show at a charity function. They told us about Northern Lights Greyhound Adoption; they are a nonprofit dedicated to finding homes for retired racing greyhounds and educating the public about the breed.
Jenn and Mary also brought some milk and dark chocolate from Lynn's Cakes and Candies. They are so cute with a greyhound on the front.
Hope everyone has an AbFab day,
Alexis
