Arnold Schwarzenegger gets really real in new book
Arnold Schwarzenegger tells all about how Maria found out about his affair with their housekeeper and the son he fathered in his new book.

As Arnold Schwarzenegger embarks on a press tour for his new tell all book, 'Total Recall,' one thing becomes abundantly clear, this is going to be an awkward book.

In a recent interview with 60 Minutes, Schwarzenegger explains why he goes into great detail in his forthcoming book about his affair with the housekeeper and the subsequent child that came from the relationship. "I would not write a book and leave out that part and make people feel like, 'Well, wait a minute, are we just getting a book about his success stories and not talk about his failures?'" the actor turned politician says.

In the book, Schwarzenegger shares the moment that Maria Shriver confronted him in a therapy session about the child. There is another story circulating that involves Tom Arnold, Schwarzenegger's True Lies costar. Apparently at a party thrown by Shriver and Schwarzenegger, where the housekeeper, Maria Baena was present with her child (later found to have been fathered by Schwarzenegger), Tom Arnold noticed the resemblance between the child and Schwarzenegger. He needled his buddy saying, "Dude, you really should get an (effing) paternity test on this kid! He looks just like you."

According to Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver has not yet read the book and is not aware of the level of detail he shares about their personal relationship and the demise of their marriage.

There are some things that are just too awkward to consume. This book seems to be one of them. While there is a natural curiosity about the personal interactions that precipitated the end of their marriage, one has to feel bad for Maria Shriver who had the rug pulled out from under her in the marriage, and now is being exposed in her ex-husband's tell all. 'Total Recall' hits book shelves on October 1.
