Sam Donaldson, veteran ABC newsman, was driving through a town in Delaware when he was pulled over having veered off onto the shoulder of the road on December 1.

The 78 year old Donaldson failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the nearby police station, booked, and quickly released. He does face a court date.
