Anne Hathaway is proud of the "psychologically complex characters" in The Dark Knight Rises.
The actress portrays Selina Kyle/Catwoman in the final instalment of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.
There is a lot of emotion in the film and Anne believes that is a vital part of all truly great pictures.
"I think it's essential for all movies," she said. "You look back at the first two movies and that's one of the core parts of these Batman movies. The characters are all psychologically complex characters. They're real people. This is an alternate reality but what they are going through is really relatable. It made me appreciate the first two films and it makes the third one even better."
Anne has nothing but praise for Christopher, who she says is a dream to work with. The film is one of the most eagerly-anticipated of the year, but he still remained calm and collected on set.
"He's just the whole package. The script he wrote, the character he created, the way he lights, he directs, he edits and also the way he runs the set," she gushed to the BBC. "He's a very economical director but with great ambition. Plus he's a really, really decent, awesome guy, that you just feel really lucky to get to know and spend time with."
