Russell Brand is reportedly doing everything he can to win estranged wife Katy Perry back.

The pair separated after 14 months of marriage in December of last year.

Katy is now rumored to be dating Florence + the Machine musician Robert Ackroyd and Russell has been seen out with numerous ladies since their split.

Although Russell initiated the break-up, the British comedian reportedly wants to reignite a romance with the pop star.

"[Russell] gets very jealous and can be quite manipulative," an insider told the OK! magazine. "Maybe he does genuinely want her back, but with his track record it's more likely that he simply doesn't like the idea of her seeing someone else."

Russell is said to have been bombarding Katy with emails and messages asking her to take him back.

"Russell didn't seem to want to take 'no' for an answer; but Katy finally told him she wasn't interested," the source revealed. "She wrote him back and basically told him that she cares about him, but she can't see them ever getting back together and she hopes they can stay friends."
