Cillian Murphy says Sigourney Weaver is "phenomenal".
The actor heaped praise upon his co-star in upcoming thriller Red Lights and described the bond they developed while shooting together.
Saying the filming process was a hugely enjoyable experience, the Inception star explained that he believes you can see the affection they shared for one another on-screen.
"It was a joy to shoot it, we shot in Spain, in Barcelona, with this incredible Spanish crew and it was a really immersive, intense but wonderful experience. I do believe that if there is a warmth between people it can translate on screen," he told Dread Central. "Sigourney and I hung out and she is such an unbelievably warm person and we did really all get on very well and I do believe you see that on screen, that sort of mentor, motherly relationship. She's phenomenal. Getting that close to watching someone that great act, I'll never forget that."
Despite his best efforts to play it cool, Cillian did get star-struck after filming with another of his legendary co-stars, Robert De Niro.
The Irish heartthrob found shooting a scene with the iconic Hollywood star surreal.
"You can't really talk about it without resorting to clichs, but when the camera turns over and the producer says, 'Action,' it really is just about two actors trying to serve the material and be as honest to the characters as you can, but when it's over you go, 'Wow, that was Robert De Niro,'" he said.
