Giuliana Rancic says she is "scared" she might drop her baby.
The 37-year-old E! News host revealed last week that she is expecting her first child with husband Bill Rancic via a gestational carrier.
She told People magazine that although she is looking forward to finally becoming a mother, she needs to brush up on her baby caring skills.
"It's terrible!" she admitted. "When I hold a baby, I'm very awkward. Everyone always tells me to relax my shoulders and I get so scared. I don't want to drop the baby!"
After her battle with breast cancer and infertility, Giuliana and Bill chose the surrogate route to become parents and are thrilled with the woman carrying their child because of her honesty.
"If I was her going into an interview with a couple, I would try to be little miss perfect," Giuliana joked. "But she was so honest. She's like, 'Yeah, I color my hair. Sometimes I drink soda, and sometimes I like coffee.'"
"It blew me off-guard because I thought that she was going to be so perfect with her answers. It made me realize that the important stuff is what I should be listening for, and that's when I knew she was the one."
