Jordin Sparks loves to feed her beau Jason Derlo sushi.

The American Idol star has recently shed 50lbs., which she marked by posing in a bikini for Shape magazine's August edition.

Now that Jordin has adopted a healthier lifestyle, eating pizza and ice cream on nights out is less appealing to her.

She prefers to munch on some salubrious snacks with her beloved beau.

"A movie, sushi and a few drinks. Or a whole night at the studio. lol :) #AskJordin (sic)," Jordin tweeted during a Shape magazine Twitter Q&A session.

Jordin's new movie Sparkle, a drama about the rise of a Motown soul group in the 1960s, will be released in weeks.

The star was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the late Whitney Houston before the legend passed away.

"It was incredible! She was someone I'd idolized and here she was in front of me! NERVES!!" she gushed.

Sparkle will be in theaters on August 17.
