Kanye West is reportedly designing an engagement ring for Kim Kardashian with the help of her mother and sisters.

Kim's marriage to estranged husband Kris Humphries lasted just 72 days and they are currently in the process of getting divorced. The reality TV beauty is now dating music star Kanye and the two are said to be besotted with each other.

According to sources, Kanye is seeking the advice of Kim's mother Kris Jenner in order to design the perfect ring to propose with.

"When she married Kris, she knew deep down it wasn't right, but she says she knows she wants to spend the rest of her life with Kanye and thinks he feels the same. She wants kids soon and they're both traditional, so marriage seems a natural step," the insider told British magazine Closer.

"Kanye asked Kim's mum Kris for ring advice, but she told him to go to her sisters Khlo and Kourtney, as Kim's told them she wants something very different to her last ring. Kanye has a New York jewelry designer and they've been talking ideas."

Kim is reportedly hoping to have a low-key ceremony this time around. The TV star's nuptials to Kris cost an eye-watering $10 million.

"She and Kanye have said, if they get married, they'd want something small on the beach in L.A. It's as if Kim's realized it's the man, not the big blinging day, that makes a marriage," the source added. "She worries what people will think, but friends and family have told her to do what makes her happy.

"They're waiting for the divorce, then it's likely they'll get engaged."
