Kate Beckinsale says the sight of Colin Farrell in his pajamas made her teenage daughter visit her on set.

The actress stars in the remake of Total Recall alongside Colin and Jessica Biel, with the movie directed by her husband Len Wiseman.

Kate's 13-year-old daughter Lily, from her previous relationship with Martin Sheen, was regularly on set - something she didn't mind in the slightest.

"Well, this one she really enjoyed being on because Colin was coming down his trailer stairs in just a pair of pajamas covered in tattoos and holding a baby. I mean, what 13-year-old doesn't want to see that? An extremely titillating image," she laughed in an interview with the British version of OK! magazine.

"But everyone was really cool with her."

Kate has become known as an action star following her role as Selene in the Underworld action-horror series. The 39-year-old star has a number of combat scenes in Total Recall, but insists she's not as dangerous as her big screen persona implies.

"No, I'm not tough at all, and I'm not really very physically active, so when I originally started doing these movies, it was a great experiment to see if I can pull it off," she smiled.

"Then it completely spiraled out of control and now I've become associated with this stuff!"
