Kate Beckinsale says Eva Longoria "is so cool".

The two actresses are firm friends and are frequently spotted enjoying dinners and girly nights out in Los Angeles together. Occasionally, the two pals are joined by Victoria Beckham, who is close to Eva.

"Eva's a lovely. I met her at an Oscar party and she was immediately so cool and nice. She was friendly with Victoria and I got friendly with her," she told British magazine Closer.

Kate added that despite her glitzy Hollywood social circle, she is still close to her childhood friends.

The British beauty explained that these treasured friendships make her feel secure and help her to keep her feet firmly on the ground.

"I'm very much in touch with my two best friends from childhood. One was from primary school and the other is from secondary school," she explained to the publication. "I feel pretty protected and grounded by that."
