Kim Kardashian finds her relationship with beau Kanye West "comforting".

The pair began dating recently in spite of the fact that Kim is still in the process of annulling her 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries.

Reality star Kim finds their romance to be extremely rewarding.

"It's very comforting to have someone that knows everything about you, that respects you, understands, has gone through the similar things," Kim revealed to Oprah Winfrey in an upcoming interview on Oprah's Next Chapter. "I can really relate to his mother passing. He can really relate to my father passing. I mean, there's so many similarities in our life that... I feel like I'm at a really happy, good space."

Kim says she and Kanye have been friends for "six or seven years".

She can't believe they just began going steady.

"I don't know why it took so long for us to get together, but I think I needed to go through all my experiences," Kim explained.

Kim's full interview will air on OWN network this Sunday.
