Maya Rudolph says red carpet appearances are daunting, and feels the "pressure" ahead of a big event.
The actress was thrown into the big time after her hilarious part in 2011 movie hit Bridesmaids and explained that adapting to her new level of fame isn't easy.
Despite her work as a Saturday Night Live comedienne, Maya admits she wasn't used to dressing up for premieres and working the red carpet with confidence.
"As exciting as it is to be recognized and invited to the party, it's not without the pressure of 'Oh, I've got to wear a fancy dress and have people look at me, take pictures and then talk about it'," she told the July issue of Elle Magazine.
Maya added that she finds it especially difficult to act confidently as the centre of attention.
The 39-year-old admitted that she worries about taking bad pictures and people gossiping about her looks.
"What's strange is that no one teaches you how to do that part: how to stand there and say witty things and look great. I didn't start out as a model so it is really difficult," she said. "No woman wants to look ugly and have their picture taken and a million people pointing at her. You try to look good and feel good about yourself and it's really f**king hard!"
