Robert De Niro has joked his cooking skills only extend to making a "good cup of coffee".
The Hollywood actor doesn't rely on his culinary skills when he's trying to impress. When it comes to his "signature dish" he prefers to make a hot drink instead.
"I don't cook. I make a good cup of coffee. That's about it," he quipped in an interview with Empire magazine.
Robert prefers dining at different eateries in his hometown of New York City. The Oscar-winning actor has joked he uses his celebrity status to secure the best possible tables at the top establishments.
"That's one of the benefits of being famous. You can get a good table and you can get a reservation at the last minute," he cheekily explained.
"That's what I always joke about. It's a nice thing, I gotta say."
Robert loves living in the Big Apple. The star thinks the city offers a great way of life, because it is so colorful.
"New York? That it's got such diversity," he said when asked what's the best thing about his hometown. "You take it for granted sometimes. I can find out about this kind of culture or that kind of culture so easily by just getting into a cab."
