Tried and tested: Elizabeth Arden Prevage Triple Defense Shield
Verdict: This sunscreen is from Elizabeth Arden's range for mature skin. The container is a tube with a brush, which first feels kind of weird but when I start using it I realize it distributes cream evenly and feels really nice on my face. Like a mini-massage. I clean it like any other brush and after ten uses it still feels fresh. You're not supposed to keep sunscreen for that long anyways. I've used this sunscreen on my pale face two days at sea in the middle of summer and it works great! While shoulders and arms, covered in a different sunscreen, turn slightly red my face feels fine. I am 50 years old and this cream is not enough for my dry skin. I end up using my regular daycream and this sunscreen on top. But since I love the matte silky finish on skin I still give this sunscreen top marks

Tried and tested: Amika Obliphica Oil Treatment
Verdict: Playful brown glass bottle, which is a little bit hard to handle and I often get too much product on my hands. The texture is thick and the smell is amazing! However, I find it hard to get the oil evenly distributed on hair. Often most of the oil ends up in one strand, leaving the rest of the hair without product. I don't feel the product absorbs into hair and leaves my hands a bit greasy. The result is great, though! Hair is soft, shiny and frizz-free! It is light and airy and easy to brush. So all in all this is just as good as most other hair oils, however not outstanding.

Tried and tested: Biotherm Aquasource nuit high density jelly
Verdict: In this night cream you can find a micro organism called P.Antarctica that can live in icy waters thanks to its ability to hold water. How this microorganism is put into this face jelly is somewhat unclear, I'm not sure if it's alive or if it is the proteins from the microorganism that is used. The other active ingredients are thermal water and mannose, a kind of sugar. These ingredients will make sure my skin gets ridiculously rehydrated overnight, if Biotherm is to be believed. My sensitive combination skin wants a rehydrating cream that won't make it shiny. And yes, my skin gets somewhat rehydrated but not to the extent Biotherm had in mind. I think there are several other products that do exactly the same, so I would say this is an average cream. Rated: 3 out of 5
