Angelina Jolie stole the spotlight in a white dress at the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday night (11Jan18).
The actress and filmmaker stepped out at the event in support of her movie First They Killed My Father, in which Cambodian author and human rights activist Loung Ung recounts the horrors she suffered as a child under the rule of the deadly Khmer Rouge.
Angelina pulled out all the stops for her appearance at the event, sporting a white Ralph & Russo dress with feather detailing across the bodice, Stuart Weitzman high heels and jewelry from Neil Lane. She also posed with her friend Loung on the blue carpet, who looked glamorous strapless black dress with silver embellishment.
But Angelina wasn’t the only star to wear white, with director Greta Gerwig opting for a flowing Fendi gown, and her Lady Bird colleague Saoirse Ronan sporting a sparkly off-white gown from Michael Kors, which she accessorized with a Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and a Jimmy Choo purse.
Diane Kruger, whose movie In the Fade won Best Foreign Language film on the night, arrived with new boyfriend Norman Reedus and looked gorgeous in a white Vera Wang dress with silver mesh details that she complemented with Christian Louboutin heels and a Tyler Ellis purse.
Emma Roberts dazzled in a minimalist white dress from Giorgio Armani, though all eyes were on her new hairstyle featuring blunt bangs, while Kate Bosworth donned a long-sleeve white lace gown with a dramatic bow detail from Brock Collection which was matched with Stuart Weitzman shoes and fine diamond jewelry from Piaget.
In the sea of white outfits, Nicole Kidman stood out in a bright pink Valentino gown as she collected the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series for her performance in Big Little Lies, and topped off her attire with Rene Caovilla heels and Fred Leighton jewels.
And fellow Australian star Margot Robbie, who won Best Actress in a Comedy for her movie I, Tonya, dazzled in a striped Chanel dress with beaded belt and Jimmy Choo shoes.
