Ariana Grande is still apologizing for donutgate

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande has apologized again for her offensive behavior after she licked some donuts and claimed to hate America.

The Problem singer hit the headlines back in July when she was caught on CCTV tampering with the sweet treats in a California store before being captured saying she hated Americans. In her first television interview since the fiasco, the 22-year-old once again pleaded forgiveness for her antics.

“My behavior was very offensive and I apologized,” she told Good Morning America on Tuesday. “There’s no excuse or there’s nothing to justify it.”

After the footage was released, Ariana quickly said she was sorry before launching into an attack on the food industry in America. Soon after, she posted a YouTube video apologizing for her original comments as she felt she hadn’t focused enough on the incident itself. Now after some time to reflect, the star fully realizes the error of her ways.

“I think one of the biggest things I learned from that was what it feels like to disappoint so many people who love and believe in you,” she explained. “And that’s an excruciating feeling… You have to remember that your words, your actions, have, you know, ramifications and you have to really think about what you’re about to say and do because it’s important. It’s important to so many people.”

However the star did add that she’s still young and will make mistakes along the way.

“I think that as human beings we all say and do things that we don’t mean at all sometimes and we have to learn from it, I mean, it’s part of our process,” she continued. “We have to learn from our mistakes and that’s how we grow.”
