Bachelor in Paradise finale: Carly “Taylor Swifts” our own Mr. Manuary!

Kirk DeWindt

If you haven’t been watching Bachelor in Paradise on ABC — a raunchier spin-off of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise — you have missed out on a wild ride.

The show sends Bachelor/Bachelorette castoffs to “Paradise” (aka Mexico) in hopes the contestants will find love. They mostly just find tequila.

The show concludes with the “serious couples” handing each other a final rose, signifying their promise to pursue the relationship after the show. One of this season’s couples, Tanner and Jade, even ended in a proposal, which, should the marriage come to fruition, would be the second spurred by the show.

Despite the engagement, the biggest shock of the night came when one couple unexpectedly crumbled before the final rose ceremony.

Carly Waddell and our own Mr. Manury, Kirk DeWindt, were together on Bachelor in Paradise from day one. Unfortunately, Kirk revealed on the finale that his feelings were behind those of Carly, and he needed to break it off with her.

It is up for debate whether Kirk went about the break up all wrong or whether Carly overreacted, but one thing is for sure: Carly is looking forward to the future, and by future, I mean singing career.

Carly was introduced on Chris Soules’ season as a “Cruise Ship Singer,” and it seems she is now trying to spin her time on reality TV into a singing career.

On After Paradise — the Paradise version of “After the Final Rose” — Carly revealed she had written a song about Kirk and put it on Soundcloud.

As Ashley I. expressed to Carly, she straight up “Taylor Swifted” him.

Take a listen to the “jam” — and I use that term loosely — below.

Something tells me the song might not hurt Kirk as much as she’d like.

What did you think of the break up? Let me know in the comments below!
