Bachelorette Recap: Chicken guy falls out of bunk bed, breaks his face

We are through the third episode of The Bachelorette, and here’s what you need to know about last night’s episode:

  • Colton/Tia: Colton is the perfect football player. He revealed to Becca last week that he dated Tia prior to coming on the show. (Tia was also on Arie’s season of The Bachelor.) Colton probably thought Tia would be the Bachelorette, so Becca needed to know he was there for her. He said he was, and now she feels they can move forward. As for whether he’s being honest, we’ll see. I’m choosing to put on my naive blinders on right now considering everything else we know about the guy. #Virgin
  • David aka chicken guy fell out of a bunk bed and broke his face (see video above). Seriously. That happened. They tried to make it look like more, and I’m still confused by the amount of blood. Jordan had nothing to do with it, but producers tried to frame it so. Apparently David comes back next week, but his face was blurred out in the preview. This whole thing is bizarre and I want more answers.
  • One-on-one date with Chris: Becca apparently likes Chris… so that makes one of us.
  • Clay broke his wrist: Cue the second ambulance of the episode. At least he called himself out for breaking his wrist on The Bachelorette and not in an NFL game, because… that’s embarrassing. Maybe you could have just let the other team win? Regardless, he’s a sweetheart and I wish he had a shot at being the Bachelor, but then he really wouldn’t be going back to playing football.

Overheard:

“You are the skeleton of a man, David.” — Jordan, perhaps foreshadowing events to come – ?

“Attached to me is professionally. It’s my face. It’s the way I walk, the way I talk. So if you’re going to try and attack my image, then you’re never going to succeed, because my image is me.” — Jordan. Me:

Favorite Things:

The show was interrupted by the Donald Trump/Kim Jong Un Summit. As far as I’m concerned, the most important thing to come out of that were these tweets:

Marley interviewed former Minneapolis Jake Enyeart! Just why did he have such a “transformative year”? Listen here.
