Every October, officials at major breast cancer charities encourage people to wear pink and raise funds for research into the cause of the disease as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
While there are many great ways to show support for the important cause and make life-saving research happen, there are many beauty brands offering limited-edition products that include a give back and give a donation to charity in the price. Read on for a round-up of the month’s best buys.
Trinny London
So you can Wear it Pink with your make-up, Trinny London will be donating 10 per cent from a special pink product collection to Breast Cancer Now. In addition, the Lip2Cheek in shade Sherin, a warm peach-terracotta shade, carries an evergreen donation. And throughout October, Trinny London will be offering 1:1 virtual appointments to those undergoing cancer treatment, with the aim of sharing the best products, tips and tricks as their skin adapts, with the service free on 22 October.
Jane Iredale
This month, the team at skincare make-up brand Jane Iredale is launching the HydroPure Hyaluronic Lip Gloss in limited-edition shade Pink Glacé. This cool pink lip gloss with a subtle shimmer suits all skin types and offers the lip-loving benefits of a balm for a fuller, supple pout. But even better, 100 per cent of the profits will be donated to Against Breast Cancer, an organisation that supports pioneering research into new treatments, tools, and earlier diagnosis.
Birchbox
If you’ve been thinking about trying out Birchbox for a while, now is the time to do so! Each box contains you five deluxe sample and travel size beauty products, with a mix of skincare and make-up. For the month of October, brand leaders will donate 1€/£1 for each purchase made on the Birchbox e-shop, 1€/£1 donated with for each new subscriber to a three, six, or 12-month subscription, as well as 1€/£1 donated per use of hashtag #BirchboxPink.
Mavala
The team at Mavala will donate from any purchase of a product from the CLEAN & COMFORT range of facial cleansers, including the Alpine Softness Micellar Water and Caress Tonic Lotion, for the duration of the month to U.K. breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel. In addition, the commitment to the cause is reflected in the creation of limited-edition bottles which are adorned with the famous pink ribbon.
