Stars stepped out of their comfort zones on the red carpet on Sunday night for the Oscars, and it paid off!
Surprisingly, a lot of the fashion risks worked. It was so fun to see new, different and exciting fashion, and not have the star looked like they rolled in trash in order to set themselves apart.
Taraji P. Henson: Best dressed of the night. Old Hollywood glam perfection. Bravo.
Kirsten Dunst: Old Hollywood gorgeous again. The fit and the length make the look.
Viola Davis: She cracked the code. Perfect fit, beautiful color and awesome hair. YES, Viola, YES.
Also, she had the best photograph of the night with her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress:
Michelle Williams: Ever the fashion muse, the look was simple and perfect.
Pharrell: The best dressed man of the night. We love Pharrell for always stepping outside the box.
Dakota Johnson: Tragic. The hair along with the dress make this look horrendous. It might be because she’s self-conscious of her most recent Fifty Shades film, and she wanted to cover up.
Halle Berry: It looks like she got caught in that black net in the ocean. I loved the idea, but the hair also looked wonky at times.
Charlize Theron: The dress looked too big on top, and we’re not a fan of the material. Also, the hair and earrings didn’t go. It’s a mess.
Scarlet Johanssen: Again, bad fit. We loved it… from the neck up.
Blanca Blanco: This was a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, and it did.
Also, for the sake of conversation, here’s Gabrielle Union at an Oscars after-party:
