Well, that’s not what he planned.
Bill Cosby took to twitter and offered up a meme generator of himself from the Cosby days with the simple request, “Go ahead, meme me.” The tweet came complete with a hashtag #cosbymeme.
The common onlooker might immediately think, “is that the best idea for someone who was recently accused of rape AGAIN?” And that common onlooker would be right on the money. However, that didn’t stop Cosby from offering himself up for meme. And you know what… it went horribly awry. Almost immediately, social media took hold of this simple request and it backfired on Cosby.
The memes mostly referred to a 2006 case where 13 women accused Cosby of drugging and raping them. The case was settled, but recently referred to again when comedian Hannibal Buress made public comments about it.
