Brooke Shields chose to pose topless in a new Jordache campaign to “fight the retouching”.
The Suddenly Susan actress, who famously appeared in a controversial advertisement for Calvin Klein jeans in 1980, was unveiled as the new face of the denim brand on Wednesday.
Reflecting on her photoshoot with Cass Bird and stylist Deborah Watson, Brooke explained that she was adamant that she appeared as natural as possible.
“It was important for you to see this is my 56-year-old body and to fight the retouching,” she told People. “I’m always like, ‘You better keep it honest.’ And we did.”
In one photo, Brooke is seen posing topless while glancing over her shoulder and wearing a pair of blue jeans, while in another image, she is depicted sitting in black jeans and a matching shirt.
The campaign, called You’ve Got The Look, will launch in spring 2022. In addition to Brooke, a number of content creators and everyday women will be tapped to recreate the star’s poses from the photoshoot.
