Caitlyn Jenner ‘could face criminal charges’

Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner may see herself prosecuted for manslaughter, according to a new report.

The 65-year-old Olympic gold medalist was accused of causing a fatal four-car collision on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu after striking another vehicle in transit last February.

A formal investigation was launched by authorities into the matter and ABC7 Eyewitness News Los Angeles reports police have concluded their inquiry.

A lead detective informed the outlet cops believe Jenner was traveling at an unsafe speed when the collision happened. And due to the dangerous velocity, the police will be forwarding the case over to the District Attorney’s office with a recommendation Jenner be tried for vehicular manslaughter.

Kim Howe was the woman who died in the crash, passing away from the incident at the age of 69.

The District Attorney’s office will be determining if any charges are to be filed against Jenner next week.

The I Am Cait reality star has been sued twice in connection with the deadly auto collision.

In May the family of the late Kim Howe brought a case against her for wrongful death and in June wreck survivor Jessica Steindorff sought legal action.

Steindorff claimed in court documents her Prius was rear-ended by Jenner’s Escalade.

“[Jenner] negligently, carelessly, recklessly, and wantonly drove, managed, maintained, controlled, operated and entrusted their motor vehicle so as to legally cause the plaintiff to be injured,” Steindorff’s legal papers read, TMZ previously reported.

While the District Attorney determines whether to charge the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, it’s clear the financial cost of the accident will be exorbitant. Jenner’s car insurance only covers $250,000 in accident related expenses, so if she loses her lawsuits the star may have to shell out a lot of money on legal costs.
