Cardi B is ‘thankful’ she decided against getting a face tattoo when she was a teenager.
The WAP music star has a series of etchings on different parts of her body, but there is one design she’s glad to have avoided – a distinctive inking trailing down one side of her face.
“Everyday I’m thankful at the fact that (I) ain’t get this face tatt I wanted when I was 16,” she wrote on Twitter.
While Cardi didn’t go on to explain why she decided against the bold design, she did reveal what it would have looked like.
“Little stars from the top of my eyebrow swirling down to my jaw,” she shared alongside a GIF of former Spice Girl Mel B face palming during an America’s Got Talent episode.
Cardi, who is currently expecting her second child with husband Offset, had her sizeable peacock tattoo touched up last year, which covers her right hip and thigh and was first done 10 years ago.
The 28-year-old star is no stranger to tattoo regrets, having had several of her ex-boyfriends’ names etched on her body. One former love’s name has been covered up with a colourful butterfly on her neck, while Cardi also has her sister’s name Hennessy on her upper arm and Offset inked on her upper leg.
Last spring, the singer spent more than 60 hours sitting patiently for her elaborate flower design on her back and upper thigh to be completed and she proudly showed off the design while twerking in a skimpy metallic gold bikini for her 99 million Instagram followers on Monday evening.
Cardi also has the symbol for ‘I love you’ in U.S. sign language along with a red star below her ear and the moniker Belkis on her wrist – which is an abbreviation of her real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar.
