Chloë Grace Moretz loves Brooklyn Beckham’s passion for soccer.
The Kick-Ass actress is rumored to be dating the 15-year-old son of sportsman David and designer Victoria. The teens have been spotted together on a number of occasions; most recently at the Teen Choice Awards. The 17-year-old admits one of the things she adores about Brooklyn is his determination.
“What I find really interesting about Brooklyn – and what I really love about that kid – is that he is passionate about what he wants, which is to be a professional soccer player,” she told the October edition of Teen Vogue. “And I enjoy someone who is on my level with the seriousness kind of thing.”
Chloë is managing to juggle her friendship with the eldest Beckham kid with her career, which is going from strength to strength. She is currently promoting The Equalizer with Denzel Washington and has just starred in romantic teen drama If I Stay. The starlet loves to vary her acting roles, but she can understandably most relate to scripts that feature issues affecting people her age.
“Real teenagers are not these shiny, pretty, happy people,” she said, regarding her If I Stay character. “Real teenagers fall in love, they get intimate. Some of them drink and some of them smoke. And kids push boundaries, and parents aren’t always amazing.”
Chloë’s own mom Teri, however, is someone she is very close to, and supported her when she was having a tough time at school. When a teacher informed Teri her daughter “smiled too much”, she took her out of school and got her tutors instead.
“I hated it,” she admitted of school. “They didn’t understand. [And would ask], ‘Why are you leaving all the time?'”
