Chloe x Halle have been names as the latest brand ambassadors for Neutrogena.
Sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey are already long-time fans of the skincare brand, and said they hope the new partnership will be authentic and genuine.
“My sister and I really have always connected with the brand ever since we were young girls, like the face-splash commercials. We’re all about skin care and we try to be very authentic, genuine human beings and, ultimately, to show that outside as well,” Halle, 20, told WWD as the collaboration was announced.
Her older sister Chloe, 22, was overjoyed to be teaming up with the skincare giant, and said one of her favourite products to use was Neutrogena’s sunscreens.
“Women of all colours, ages and skin types can use (Neutrogena’s) sunscreens without a white cast. It actually gives a nice glow,” she shared, adding that the brand’s Micellar Cleansing Cloths and oil-free acne wash are also among her go-to products.
Kerry Sullivan, vice president of marketing at Johnson & Johnson – the parent company of Neutrogena – said that Chloe x Halle were already “very aligned” with the brand values, and would serve as inspiring role models to young girls.
“These are not celebrity faces, or just pretty faces. Of course, they’re gorgeous, but in their own right, they really have a whole story to tell and they live a whole life. These girls, they really are an inspiration,” she explained.
“They’re very relatable to young Millennial and Generation Z consumers who want to hear more about what brands stand for and what’s behind a brand.”
