Christina Hendricks always looks picture-perfect whenever she steps out at an event.

So, when the Good Girls actress outlined her evening skincare regime in a video for Harper’s Bazaar, we stopped and took notes. Read on for some top takeaways from her tutorial.

Invest in a quality make-up remover

As Christina often has to wear quite heavy eye make-up while filming, she makes a point of taking all of her mascara and eyeliner off each night.

“I tend to have dry skin and I find that a lot of products can be a little bit abrasive, just even from rubbing day after day, my skin can get red or splotchy. So, I’ve been using the Elemis Eye and Lip Make-Up Remover,” the 45-year-old shared. “It’s one of the few things that I find takes all (my make-up) off in one fell swoop. It has an oil base, I think that’s why it’s so soothing on my face.”

Try out double cleansing

Each night, Christina ensures she has removed every last scrap of make-up by using multiple cleansing products, such as Elemis’ Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm and Fresh’s Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash.

“(The Elemis balm) has a beautiful smell. You scoop it out and it’s got a real creamy, gel, lovely feeling to it. I put it all over and let it dissolve all this make-up on my skin for a little bit,” the Mad Men star said, adding that she will also use Burt’s Bees’ Cleansing Face Wipes from time to time too. “I think they do a really good job and honestly sometimes if think it’s OK to have a little something on my skin because I am so dry.”

Layer on the hydration

After spritzing on Mario Badescu’s Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea and adding a layer of Fresh’s Rose Deep Hydration Oil-Infused Serum, Christina applies Julie Hewett’s Organic Camellia Oil.

“Because I am very dry, this is when I would choose to use a moisturiser or an oil. And while I’m working, I like to use an oil in the evening. I put it everywhere, all the way down my neck,” she explained.
