The Crown Season 2

We’ve learned 5 new things about the highly anticipated season 2 of the Crown.  The first season on Netflix was beautiful, and expensive!  The director opened up about some things we will see in season 2:

#1 Season #1 cost NETFLIX $130 million.  It is said to be the most expensive TV Show to ever be produced.  How exciting that it is a part of the new streaming phenomenon!

#2. Claire Foy will remain as Queen Elizabeth through this next season, then she will be recast for season 3 and 4.  Quote from the one of the creators, Peter Daily with Screendaily, “I feel that when we reach 1963-64 we’ve gone as far as we can go with Claire Foy without having to do silly things in terms of makeup to make her look older,”

#3. Michael C. Hall from Dexter will be a part of the season, playing John F. Kennedy whom the show’s creators describe as “a natural leader and excellent public speaker who does not take kindly to being upstaged by anyone, especially his wife.”

#4 John Lithgow will not be on this season.  Since his character resigned after his failing health as the Prime Minister, we will not see him.

#5.  They are half-way through filming this season, and there is no word on a date for season two.  Since season 1 premiered November 4th, 2016, we hope we get to see it this fall!
