Every dentist, no matter where they’re practicing, knows about victims of domestic violence and domestic abuse. It’s estimated that 75 percent of physical injuries from abuse are on the head, neck and or mouth. Dentists see and treat people who are hurting, and may be on the front line to screen patients and offer help.
This week on the MOM show, Dr. Scott Shamblott, Dr. Claudia De Llano and Dr. Elizabeth Turner from Shamblott Family Dentistry in Hopkins will be talking about domestic violence and its impact.
Tune in Sunday at 10am to The MOM Show and hear what the doctors from Shamblott Family Dentistry have to say about the role of the dental professional in helping victims of domestic abuse.0
