Drew Barrymore has been named as the new celebrity creative director at Garnier.
Drew landed the gig after raving about the brand’s Whole Blends range of olive shampoo and conditioner last year, and is the face of their Whole Blends Sulfate-Free Remedy collection, as well as serving as the creative director of the new campaign.
“I’ve been a fan of Garnier Whole Blends since trying the olive products last summer, so when they approached me with the idea to help them launch the new clean beauty Sulfate-Free Remedy collection, I was all in,” the 45-year-old said in a statement.
“The products are amazing and good for your hair, but what’s even better is that the brand is doing so many good things to give back and help make the planet greener,” she added, noting that Garnier also works to protect bees.
In the new ad for the haircare collection, the actress and talk show host is dressed as a bee, and Barrymore shared images from the campaign with her followers on Instagram.
“I’m so excited to announce my newest role as Queen Bee the Creative Director and Brand Ambassador of @GarnierUSA#WholeBlends #SulfateFree I’ve been waiting to tell you all the big news and now I can finally share this BUZZ!” she wrote. “I love using Whole Blends products on my hair and now I get the chance to be a part of the #GarnierFAM!!!”
Last summer, the mother-of-two took to Instagram during her #BeautyJunkieWeek to profess her love for the affordable Whole Blends Legendary Olive Shampoo and Conditioner after buying it at her local grocery store.
“HOLY COW THIS IS THE BEST SHAMPOO I am obsessed. I got this because my daughter’s name is Olive. And it turns out that I am in love. And at around 5 ish dollars a bottle, well, I love that tooooooooo!!!! It’s also basically sold everywhere, so it’s easy to get. And I am very happy with the results,” Flower Beauty founder Drew raved.
