ESPN anchor Stuart Scott dies at 49

Stuart Scott

Beloved ESPN anchor Stuart Scott passed away at the age of 49 on Sunday morning following a longtime battle with cancer.

Scott is being remembered by the gamut of public personas, including Barack Obama, LeBron James, Erin Andrews, Nick Jonas, Sherri Shepard and many more.

Perhaps the most touching tribute comes from Scott’s longtime friend, Rich Eisen, on his NFL network show:

Scott gave a speech at the 2014 ESPY Awards in July 2014, where he was honored with the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance, that allows you to understand a little bit more about just who this man was, and what he stood for.

Scott is survived by his parents, a brother and two sisters, ex-wife Kim Scott, girlfriend Kristin Spodobalski, and daughters Taelor (19) and Sydni (15).
