Even if you’re not a regular “Survivor” watcher, you should watch Wednesday’s Tribal Council

It was the Tribal Council heard around the world on Wednesday night’s episode of “Survivor.”

The last 15 minutes were some of the most explosive, touching, and intense minutes of the show in quite some time.

Player Jeff Varner was on the chopping block at the end of the episode, and in a last ditch effort to save himself, he made an ultimately fatal error. He attempted to point out the fact that there was a lot of deception in the game namely the fact that fellow player, Zeke Smith is a Transgender person playing the game.

Whoa. Not cool, dude. And the fall-out is multi-layered, and ultimately so inspiring for a number of reasons, including the fact that Zeke Smith, the target of this conversation was most gracious in his immediate forgiveness and grace in the face of ugliness.

You can watch the whole episode, or the last 15 minutes of the episode on the CBS website.

And since this happened months ago, it is also important to see Jeff Varner’s public apology for what will no doubt become the most viewed and talked about moment in “Survivor” history.
