Halle Berry has hinted the blunt bob she debuted at the Oscars was fake.
The 54-year-old actress went viral when she arrived at the 93rd Academy Awards in Los Angeles late last month with a short, blunt bob, complete with a micro fringe.
Halle teamed the surprising hair transformation with a stunning purple Dolce & Gabbana dress, which featured an oversized bow, plunging ruched neckline and flowing semi-sheer chiffon, and documented her new ‘do on social media.
However, she recently took to Instagram to reveal her long brown flowing locks.
“Oscar bob… just kidding,” Halle wrote in the caption, suggesting that her harsh bob was just a wig, or she had extensions put in her hair shortly afterwards.
Her hairstylist Sara Seward has yet to comment on the post.
Hours before taking to the red carpet at the Dolby Theater for the Oscars on 25 April, Halle shared a series of snaps on social media, documenting her dramatic hair transformation, and even posted a picture of her chopped off locks that were scattered on the floor.
She was the subject of plenty of memes on social media after debuting her blunt bob, with some comparing her to Johnny Depp in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Edna Mode from The Incredibles.
Halle responded to a few of the posts that poked fun at her new ‘do on Twitter, and wrote: “love you guys and your memes. xx”.
