Heidi Klum’s daughter Leni is like her “mini-me” at fashion shoots.

The 48-year-old model discussed her 17-year-old child’s decision to follow in her footsteps as she appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Wednesday evening, and revealed she can see many similarities between them.

“It is the wildest thing,” Heidi said of watching Leni model. “Sometimes I see myself in her because we’re quite goofy and silly and she’s on the set, like, being me. It’s like a mini-me, but then she’s doing her own thing. It’s a lot of fun to watch.”

Heidi went on to explain that Leni has been desperate to pursue a modelling career for a while, and the fashion icon is pleased she’s finally ready to fulfil her dream.

“Yes, because she’s been nagging about it for such a long time,” she said when asked if she’s happy to see Leni’s career blossoming.

“I’m so happy that we finally arrived and she’s old enough and can do this, she’s 17 now.”

The German-born star also recalled her pride at appearing on the January front cover of Vogue Germany with Leni, saying it was a big moment for them both.

“I was kind of giving the baton to her,” she smiled.

Since posing for Vogue, Leni has continued to follow in Heidi’s footsteps – in April, she landed her first-ever solo cover with Glamour Germany, 20 years after her mother was the magazine’s first-ever model.
