I’m glad Adele won’t be doing the Superbowl Halftime show!

By now you may have heard that Adele was offered and turned down a gig at the Superbowl halftime extravaganza.

I, for one, am happy that she decided to decline.

This may sound strange, after all, I shed real tears when I wasn’t able to get Adele tickets when they went on sale in the Twin Cities. I love Adele.

But listen, she’s not a Superbowl Halftime show. She’s a singer. She’s an artist, but not a spectacle.

Superbowl Halftime shows are for the Beyonces of the world. For the Katy Perrys and the Britney Spears of the world. For the pop stars who will include pyrotechnics and loud booming guitar riffs coupled with crazy dancing.

Adele isn’t that. Adele is an intimate night around the piano. In the best way possible.

And thankfully, Adele knows her brand. During a concert, she explained that she won’t be doing the halftime show because she can’t dance.
