Jamie Lee Curtis stunned her castmates when she did all her own stunts for the Halloween sequel.

The 62-year-old actress reprised her role as Laurie Strode for the 2018 horror, which served as a direct sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 classic, alongside newcomer Andi Matichak, who played Curtis’ on-screen granddaughter Allyson.

In a recent appearance on the YouTube show We Watched a Movie, Matichak revealed that the Hollywood veteran pulled no punches and threw herself into the tense final scene of the movie, in which she had a showdown with longtime foe Michael Myers.

“The original fight sequence that was the original end to 2018 was a hand-to-hand combat with her and Michael. And she threw down every single take. I think there were upwards of 30 takes. Jamie did all of her own stunts,” Matichak recalled.

“She did everything with (stunt man) James. She hit him in the exact same place every time, never missed a mark. She was unbelievable, and she was throwing her body on the ground, getting back up right away like ‘Let’s go again.’ Her work ethic and her commitment is just so next level. She’s just so incredibly generous,” the 26-year-old actress shared.

Curtis is reprising her role for two more Halloween sequels – Halloween Kills, set to be released in October, and Halloween Ends, which will be in cinemas in October 2022.
