Here’s why “Sex and the City” actor Jason Lewis has sided with Sarah Jessica Parker in her feud with Kim Cattrall.
The three starred in the successful HBO show, with Jason playing hunky actor Smith, who shared plenty of steamy sex scenes with Kim’s character Samantha Jones.
Rumours of onset tensions between Kim and Sarah have been rife for years, but Kim finally opened up about the matter in a 2017 interview with Piers Morgan. And in a recent Instagram post she slammed “cruel” Sarah after the actress reached out to her following the death of her brother Chris.
Now Jason has waded into the row, leaving fans shocked with whose team he was on.
“If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all,” he began during an appearance on U.S. show KTLA 5, before revealing his true feelings.
“No listen, I would have to say that Sarah was always so lovely and such a consummate professional, and I think that people should remember their graciousness and the things that have been given to them, and I’m going to stop there because I’ve got nothing good to say.”
When host Sam Rubin speculated he felt Jason was team Sarah in the row, the 46-year-old wasn’t shy about sharing where his loyalties lie.
“I might just have to say yeah, yeah. What a gracious lady; she was always so good to me,” he stated.
Asked if other people were not as good to him he grinned: “Sarah was amazing.”
After Kim lashed out on Instagram, Sarah insisted to People magazine there is no feud with her former co-star because she isn’t fighting back.
“I never responded to the conversation Kim had with Piers Morgan, where she said things that were really hurtful about me,” she said. “We had this experience and it was amazing, and nothing will ever be like it.”
