Jennifer Garner has had a lot of fun seeing mothers watch her new movie Yes Day.
The actress stars in the comedy alongside Edgar Ramirez and the duo play parents Allison and Carlos, who decide to let their three children make the rules for just one day.
Garner, who is a mother to 15-year-old Violet, 12-year-old Seraphina, and nine-year-old Samuel, has found it entertaining seeing other parents’ react to the concept.
“This has been such a hard year for moms. We have had to say ‘No, no, no.’ We’ve had to watch our kids be home, miss out on things. It is one thing to miss out on something as an adult, but to watch your kids miss something they have looked forward to or just how hard it has been to see them isolated and on Zoom every day… this is a breath of fresh air,” she said of Yes Day during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“This is a wish-fulfilment day of yes, and it is just so fun to watch moms watch the movie,” Garner added.
Elsewhere in the interview, she opened up about her own kids, who she shares with ex-husband Ben Affleck, and said that the trio is unimpressed with their mother being a movie star.
“It is not a positive to be me… Someone who people would think, ‘Oh, how cool to have that person as a mom.’ No,” she laughed. “But my teenager and my adolescent are both lovely. So I have to say, I have it pretty easy as far as that goes.”
Yes Day is available to stream on Netflix now.
