When it comes to skincare, Jordana Brewster has her routine down pat.
The F9 actress is passionate about caring for her complexion and abides by a strict evening routine, involving multiple steps.
Luckily for us, Jordana has detailed some of her best tips in a video for Harper’s Bazaar. Read on for some top takeaways from her tutorial.
Try different types of make-up remover
After experimenting with all sorts of eye make-up removal products over the years, Jordana has discovered an oil-based product works best for her.
“I get some cotton balls and use some really oily eye make-up remover. I use baby oil a lot of the time… because it works,” she insisted. “I’ve tried really mild eye make-up removers and they don’t work for me. They drive me nuts! I’m left with so much eye make-up still and then I have to rub my eyes and then they get irritated.”
Find the right cleanser
Unlike her eye make-up remover, the brunette beauty prefers a foam or gel cleanser to wash her face with.
“Next, I use a foam cleanser. I don’t really like oil-based cleansers because I don’t find they make my skin feel super clean. I want something that’s going to make my skin feel clean,” Jordana insisted. “I really like CeraVe or Cetaphil. Cetaphil has been around for ages and I feel it cleans my skin really, really well. I put it on my hands and clean my whole face. Oftentimes, I feel we forget our necks…”
Go easy on exfoliators
Rather than relying on heavy-duty scrubs, Jordana insisted she achieves the same effect with a humble towel.
“I got this trick from a make-up artist. If you remove your cleanser with a towel, it has this gentle exfoliating effect, which I find works. I’m not a huge fan of scrubs. But I feel if you rinse off your cleanser with a towel, it has a similar effect,” she added.
