Justin Timberlake is “under review” from DA’s office for taking an illegal voting booth selfie

Oopsie! Justin Timberlake just did something naughty and it could land him in jail.

On Monday, Timberlake took a selfie of himself in a Tennessee polling place.

He was just trying to get out the vote, right? Well, not so fast, because his innocent selfie could land him jail time – because it’s ILLEGAL.

According to TMZ, “Tennessee law prohibits voters from taking pics or recording conversations in the sacred rooms. Violators can be slapped with a 30 day jail sentence and a $50 fine.”

Big oopise.

Currently, the Shelby County, Tennessee District Attorney’s office says that Timberlake photo incident is “under review.” If he is prosecuted, Timberlake will be the first person with the dubious honor, as the law was just passed last year.

I encourage everyone to go out November 8th and #rockthevote. But please, don’t take a picture of yourself during the voting process. Take a selfie of yourself after the fact, preferable wearing one of those neato stickers you get when you’re done. Like me 🙂
