Kaia Gerber is “freaking out” after she landed a role in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming 10th season of American Horror Story.
The 55-year-old showrunner and producer confirmed in a post on Instagram that the supermodel would be making her acting debut in the show, but refused to divulge any details about her character.
“Very excited to announce that Kaia Gerber is joining the American Horror Story family,” Murphy captioned a headshot of the 19-year-old.
“If I’m dreaming this don’t wake me up,” the model commented on the post.
The daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber also reposted Murphy’s announcement on her Instagram Stories, and later reacted to singer Charlotte Lawrence’s posts, after she said she was “freakin out” that her friend Kaia had been cast.
“Not as much as me!!!!” the model replied, alongside a crying face emoji.
Kaia joins an already star-studded cast, including Macaulay Culkin, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Finn Wittrock and Lily Rabe.
Last week, Murphy teased details of the new season, and announced that the title of the FX horror anthology series would be American Horror Story: Double Feature.
“Two horrifying stories… one season. One by the sea… One by the sand. More to come…” he wrote on social media, alongside a short black-and-white video clip of a beach.
Production for the upcoming 10th season was due to start last year, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
