Kaia Gerber has shared her top tips for keeping your body and mind in great shape.

The 19-year-old supermodel spoke with Vogue about her simple approach to beauty and fitness, and said she swears by a ‘less is more’ mantra when it comes to her everyday routine.

Here’s Kaia’s list of essentials…

Meditation

“I like to write in the mornings and usually write a few pages. I like to meditate and say a prayer. I think mindful moments like that have really become a huge part of my morning routine,” Kaia shared, noting that the Covid-19 lockdown has made her value the time she spends on getting ready for the day.

Drinking water

“I always forget to drink water in the day, so I find myself chugging more at night,” Kaia laughed. Experts recommend drinking at least two litres of water a day, as it keeps the body hydrated, aids digestion and maintains body temperature, however, try and spread out your water consumption throughout the day, otherwise you’ll be up all night if you drink your daily allowance just before bed!

Niacinamide

“I like to keep it super simple with my skin – I feel like less is more. I always wash my face. Even if I’m not wearing make-up, I have to wash my face! I am also a huge advocate of niacinamide, so that’s what I use,” Kaia shared. The cult beauty product, which is a form of vitamin B, is known to keep breakouts at bay, reduce the appearance of congestion, and improves moisture retention. Try The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% for a bargain beauty buy, or Paula’s Choice Niacinamide 20% Treatment if you want to splurge.

Pilates

Kaia confessed she wasn’t a fan of the exercise until the Covid-19 lockdown, but now she’s obsessed with the strength building workout. “Now I’m like a die-hard Pilates fan, and do it three or more times a week. I’m very into working out anyway, but that is a new workout I found that I really like. It burns and you’re sore,” she explained.
