Kardashians continue to make Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder all about them

I’ve been mildly obsessed with the resurgence of conversation around the OJ Simpson trial. Between Ryan Murphy’s show and the ESPN documentary, I’ve been seeing that period of history with new eyes.

Sadly, the Kardashians are only trying to remind us that the OJ Simpson trial marks the beginning of their celebrity.

Robert Kardashian, the late Kardashian patriarch, was a good friend of OJ Simpson’s and was one of his defense lawyers.

Kim did an interview recently where she set the record straight on the depiction of her family in the Ryan Murphy TV show based on the OJ Simpson Trial, “The People Vs. OJ Simpson.” It was eye rolling-ly self absorbed, which surprises exactly nobody.

But what’s even more obnoxious is this story that Kris Jenner told on an outtake from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Kris was one of Nicole Simpson’s best friends. In this clip she tells an unheard story where she inserts herself into the story of the murder of her best friend. The story itself isn’t particularly obnoxious (unnecessary, but not obnoxious), but what IS obnoxious is Kris’ mom’s comment at the end of the clip, “and look at where you are now…”

Way to ride the coattails of a tragic murder, Kardashians.
