Kelly Osbourne, Chelsea Handler support Kathy Griffin’s Fashion Police exit

Kelly Osbourne could not be prouder of Kathy Griffin.

The American comedienne has quit her gig as a presenter on E!’s Fashion Week after just seven episodes.

Kathy had taken over from the late Joan Rivers, who passed away in September 2014 following complications from throat surgery. The news came two weeks after original host Kelly also decided to leave.

“I could not be more proud of you @kathygriffin you have my love and support always (sic),” Kelly posted on her Twitter account, alongside a photo of the two women with their tongues touching.

Both women’s exits comes in the wake of comments made by fellow Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic. The style correspondent exclaimed teenage star Zendaya looked like she would smell of “weed” when she wore her hair in dreadlocks for the Oscars in February. Former E! employee Chelsea Handler also supported Griffin’s exit:

While Kathy didn’t mention the incident when tweeting her resignation from the show, she did allude to it by stating she was a freedom-loving woman who tries to find the funny “in people, attitudes, beliefs, and appearances, but only when the context permits intelligent humor (sic).”

Girls actress Lena Dunham also took to social media to show her support for Kathy.

“Congrats to my beautiful friend Kathy Griffin for bravely saying enough is enough to intolerance of all kinds on television. She’s modeling a better way for the youths (and working those ears.)(sic),” she cautioned a shot of Kathy in a pair of Minnie Mouse ears.
