Khloe Kardashian has reached a settlement with the designer who accused her Good American firm of ripping off her creations.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star co-founded the denim brand in 2016 with Emma Grede, and since the launch, the company has expanded with a series of collections, including swimwear, activewear and shoes.

In May last year, Khloe and her partners at Good American were sued by Destiney Bleu and bosses at Los Angeles-based company dbleudazzled, who were seeking $10 million (£7 million) in damages after accusing the 36-year-old of ripping off their bodysuit designs after purchasing pieces “for her personal use.”

However, according to recent documents obtained by RadarOnline, officials at dbleudazzled informed the court on 4 May that they will no longer be pursuing their action after reaching a confidential agreement.

They’ve formally asked lawmakers to dismiss the case.

The original suit accused Good American of fraud and deceit, common law trade dress infringement, misappropriation, and unfair competition. It argued the mother-of-one had “purchased and borrowed numerous pieces of Plaintiff’s clothing, under the false pretense that the clothing items were for Kardashian’s personal use”.

Instead, dbleudazzled claim Khloe was actually planning to create her own clothing line with similar designs.

“Good American decided it would be easier to knock off the proven designs of an independent designer,” the suit read.
