Khloe Kardashian shares emotional post about ‘letting go’

Khloe Kardashian

Khloe Kardashian is laying bare her emotions amid reports suggesting she has given up hope of saving Lamar Odom from his “bad habits.”

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians beauty took to Instagram on Sunday (10Apr16) to share a philosophical quote with her fans.

The message read: “It doesn’t matter how loyal you are to someone. You can’t change someone’s heart and bad habits unless they want to themselves.”

She then opened up about a personal struggle in a lengthy accompanying caption.

“Letting go doesn’t mean that you don’t care about someone anymore,” the 31-year-old wrote. “It’s just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself.

“Letting go with love takes great strength. We have to learn to stop taking on peoples (sic) problems as if they are our own. Loving people does not mean we have to carry their burdens and confusions on our back.”

Khloe went on to explain she believes “timing is everything”, and that you have to realise when it’s time to move on for your own good.

“Stop shattering your own heart by trying to make a relationship (friend, family, partner) work that clearly isn’t meant to work…,” she continued. “Sometimes the person you want most is the person you’re best without.”

Concluding the message, she added, “A Girl once told me… Be careful when trying to fix a broken person. For you may cut yourself on their shattered pieces.”

Her emotional post prompted reports suggesting Khloe had reached her breaking point with her estranged husband Lamar, who is said to be ignoring pleas for him to seek help in rehab after he was photographed boozing before an Easter church service last month (Mar16). The news emerged months after the former basketball player, who has a history of addiction issues, was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel in October (15) following a drug overdose.

However, Khloe took to Twitter shortly after her Instagram post to insist it wasn’t aimed at Lamar, or at her brother Rob Kardashian’s new engagement to Blac Chyna, as some others had also speculated.

“I don’t write these about anyone per say but they are feelings or thoughts that I’ve had before and I want to try and explain to people that it does get better and we will always rise above the ashes,” she explained.

In a series of follow-up tweets, she added, “The fact that certain blogs are picking up what I wrote and are trying to read deeper into my post is what prevents me from writing more of my thoughts on social media. Not everything is a subliminal. Not all song writers, tv or film writers, poets write from experience. People might just need a place to express. I believe writing is therapeutic on any level and I believe art in any form is personal and should not be explained.”
