Kim Kardashian has denied catching Covid-19 from her 40th birthday holiday to French Polynesia.
The reality star’s battle with the coronavirus in November was documented on Thursday night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, following which a Buzzfeed article claimed she’d tested positive around 10 days after returning from the vacation last October.
“The Kardashians decided against disclosing her diagnosis at the time,” the report added.
However, Kim hit back at the rumours, and insisted she and her four children contracted the virus from a child at her five-year-old son Saint’s school.
In response to the Buzzfeed piece, Kim wrote on Twitter: “False. Nobody caught Covid from the trip. Saint was the first to have it in our family and he caught it from school from another student who tested positive first.
“I then developed symptoms and got it a few days after he coughed on me while caring for him.”
In the latest episode of her family’s reality show, Kim was seen worrying about Saint and her other children North, seven, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two – who she shares with estranged husband Kanye West – as she said: “So, Saint has Covid, and I’m just really worried about him.
“He was crying and coughing on me… North is saying she’s feeling sick and I slept in bed with her last night. She tested negative, but I’m gonna test her again with me on Saturday.”
And while she was ill herself and looking after her children, Kim was also busy cramming for her law exams with big 12-hour study sessions.
Speaking about the test, she said: “Taking care of my kids, obviously, comes first.”
She then added: “I’m feeling pretty s***ty. North and I kept feeling really sick. We took tests right before I went to bed, and when I woke up in the morning the tests, you know, came back positive.”
The mother-of-four did complete her exam but admitted it would be a “miracle” if she passed.
“I can’t believe I just finished the baby bar. I am so tired,” she said. “I did it though. I pulled through. I’m proud of myself even if I don’t pass, it’s OK… I don’t care because I had Covid. And if I pass, then it’s a f**king miracle and I don’t know how I did that.”
It was later revealed that Kim failed the exam.
The show’s bosses also confirmed that production on the programme was suspended whilst everyone quarantined.
A card read on screen: “Kim and the family tested positive for Covid. Production shut down for 14 days while the family and crew quarantined. Kim continued to film, self-shot.”
